SAFENIGHT PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") is intended to inform you of the policies and procedures of Caravan Studios, a division of TechSoup Global (“Caravan Studios”, "we", or "us"). We take the privacy and protection of your Personal Information (as defined below) very seriously. We may collect Personal Information from you in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy when you use the SafeNight mobile application ("SafeNight").

 

Visitor Consent

BY USING SAFENIGHT AND ANY OF THE SERVICES AVAILABLE THROUGH SAFENIGHT (THE "SERVICES"), YOU EXPRESSLY CONSENT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ACCORDING TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY. BY USING THE SERVICES OR SUBMITTING PERSONAL INFORMATION THROUGH THE SERVICES, YOU ARE EXPRESSLY CONSENTING TO SUCH PROCESSING. TO THE EXTENT YOU PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT A NAMED PERSON OR ENTITY WHO IS NOT A CURRENT USER OF OUR SERVICES, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU HAVE THAT PERSON OR ENTITY’S CONSENT TO DO SO.

 

Information That You Provide to Us

When you download SafeNight and create an account, we will collect your name, email, telephone number, street address, username, and password ("Personal Information"). Personal Information will be stored on our servers, along with your preferred shelter, preferred city, and donation frequency.

 

Automatic Information Collection

When you download, access, and use SafeNight, we may collect:

 

• Usage Details.  When you access and use SafeNight, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of SafeNight, including communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through SafeNight.

 

• Device Information.  SafeNight may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device's unique device identifier, operating system, browser type, mobile network information and the device's telephone number.

 

• Stored Information and Files.  SafeNight also may access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device. This may include, for example, photographs, audio and video clips, personal contacts and address book information.

 

• Location Information.  SafeNight does not collect real-time information about the location of your device.

 

If you do not want us to collect this information, do not download SafeNight or delete it from your device.

 

Third-Party Information Collection

When you use SafeNight, certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may include your mobile device manufacturer, your mobile service provider, analytics companies, and others. The information they collect may be associated with your Personal Information or they may collect information, including Personal Information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and apps. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

 

How We Use Your Information

We use the Personal Information that you submit to us to process your donation. SafeNight may also share Personal Information with the shelters receiving your donation. When you make a donation or enter Personal Information, your information is transmitted across the Internet securely using high-grade encryption.

 

We may also use Personal Information to:

• Provide you with information or services you request from us;

 

• Give you notices about your account;

 

• Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us;

 

• Notify you when SafeNight updates are available, and of any changes to services we offer or provide through it.

 

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated information about our users and information that does not identify any individual without restriction. In addition, we may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide:

 

• To our subsidiaries and affiliates;

 

• To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business;

 

• To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of Caravan Studios's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by Caravan Studios about SafeNight users is among the assets transferred;

 

• To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it, for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information, or with your consent;

 

• To comply with any court order, law or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

 

• To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including the SafeNight EULA.

 

• If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Caravan Studios, our customers or others.

 

Your Choices Regarding Your Personal Information

If you wish for us to delete your Personal Information, you can send an email via the "Contact Us" screen in SafeNight, and our team will manually delete the data.

 

Regarding Minors

SafeNight is not designed for minors under the age of 13 and we do not intentionally gather Personal Information about visitors who are under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under 13, we will delete that information.

 

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ Personal Information, we will post the new privacy policy and notify you by e-mail or text message to the primary e-mail address or phone number specified in your account, or by an alert the first time you use SafeNight after we make the change. You are responsible for ensuring that we have an up-to-date e-mail address and/or phone number for you and for periodically visiting this privacy policy to check for any changes.
